Sophie is a 4 year old spayed female JRT who needs a new home. Her current family is a working couple with a toddler and just had a baby. She is GREAT with the kids, so might be fine with a couple who have children in their future. When you meet her she will be nervous at first. She is a typical small dog in that she will bark when visitors come and has to smell you first before she lets you pet her. She is very tolerant of the toddler, which is rare for a terrier breed. She knows some commands like sit and shake and has many other good qualities. She would be fine with a working person who can walk her twice a day, morning and night and then show her the world on weekends. We can picture her bonding closely with someone and going for daily walks. She weighs 18 lbs but could slim down to 12-15 with a little exercise. She is okay with cats who are dog-savvy, but if a cat hisses at her, she will bark. She has some male dog friends, but can be afraid of bigger dogs.
