UPDATE: Sofia had her surgery and she came through it with flying colors and is recovering beautifully! We are still raising funds for this costly surgery. Thanks to our amazing community of supporters! Here's her bio: She is so sweet and deserves a soft place to land. Sofia is a beautiful, friendly senior (8-9 yrs) German Shepherd girl. Smart, mellow, and sociable, she will make a wonderful companion. She gets along well with other dogs and loves people. When Sofia was rescued, she was in a very malnourished state and is still underweight at just 58 pounds. It's clear she had a home at one time, as she was spayed when rescued. She deserves a second chance to live the life she was meant to live -- as a loving, loyal member of the family. Thank you to all who have donated so far. Thankfully, her foster family is adopting her!
